New Moe library opens

Moe’s new library and service centre opened its George Street doors this morning to a flood of residents eager to tour the building and try out the new facilities.

It features public meeting rooms, a family history room, commercial kitchen for potential cooking classes, a video-game section and reading spaces.

The $14 million two-storey building was jointly funded by Latrobe City Council and the state and federal governments.

It will open from 8.30am-6pm Monday to Friday, 9am-noon on Saturdays and 10am-2pm on Sundays.
