The State Government is calling for local businesses to share their experiences as part of its Retail Regulation Review which aims to make red tape less time consuming and costly.
A roundtable event will be held tomorrow from 10.30am to 12.30pm at 71 Hotham Street, Traralgon.
“I implore as many businesses as possible to have their say in this first-of-its-kind review,” Small Business Minister Philip Dalidakis.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the Gippsland small business community to tell us what regulations are placing an unnecessary burden or cost on their business.”
The feedback gathered from the industry roundtables will be guided by an Issues Paper.

They can also submit feedback via this portal if they cannot attend the events.
The funding and budgetary pressures, infrastructure needs and rates policies of Victoria’s rural and regional councils will be examined in a new public inquiry.
The Victorian Parliament’s Environment, Natural Resources and Regional Development Committee will look at how councils deliver services and how this can be done sustainably and effectively.
The terms of reference identify flood planning and preparation, maintenance of flood mitigation infrastructure, maintenance of local road and bridge networks, as well as weed and pest animal control as key issues to examine.
Councils, community groups and individuals can make a submission until 12 September this year.
The committee will also hold public hearings across the state.
The information collected will help with future planning of service delivery in rural and regional Victoria.
