Synthetic cannabis seized

Detectives have uncovered a “significant quantity” of synthetic cannabis following raids on a business at Morwell and Warragul on Thursday morning.

Morwell Divisional Tasking Unit police executed a search warrant at clothing store Sassy Cat stores at both towns where synthetic cannabis was located.

A third raid was also carried out at a property in Newborough.

A 48-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman from Newborough have been charged with drug trafficking offences and selling a commercial quantity of illicit drugs.

Missing boy

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing teenager Ty Diaz.

The 14-year-old was reported missing on March 27 and since then he has visited the Latrobe Valley, Dandenong and Warburton areas.

Police described him as 165-170 centimetres in height with short dark hair and an olive complexion

Police have concerns for Ty’s welfare due to his age and have released a photograph of Ty in an attempt to located him.
