Suspicious fires

A window was smashed and the padding of a basketball pole was set alight during a crime spree at Traralgon College’s junior campus last week.

Detectives said the incident occurred at the Liddiard Road school on Monday, June 11 at 6.30pm.

Police said no one gained entry to the classroom despite the window being smashed.

Then on the following Monday, a boat was set alight in the front yard of a Livingstone Street, Morwell property just after 4.30am.

The fire destroyed the boat and caused significant damage to a vehicle parked next to it.

Anyone with information about the two incidents is asked to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit on 5131 5000.
