Cowwarr are set to host Traralgon Tyers United this weekend on their newly-refurbished home court in a game that could go down to the siren.
The Bombers sit just outside the five while Cowwarr remain in the top three after a one-goal win against Heyfield at the weekend.
TTU also head into the game following a six-goal win on their home court in round 12 against Woodside.
“It will be another tough match this week and this time we will be pushing for a clearer and better result,” TTU coach Jennifer Duncan said.
“With a draw last time, both teams will be fighting for the points at this critical time of the season.
“But we’ve been really happy with our performances in the start of the second half of the season.”
Duncan said the side was playing more consistently as a team following a number of positional changes across the court.
Woodside v Glengarry
A reunion of the 2008 premiership team will take place at Woodside on Saturday as the club flies its A-grade flag from a decade ago.
The game will also coincide with the club’s celebrations for NAIDOC Week. Woodside will host Glengarry who come off a 20-goal loss to Sale City.
“We will be looking to find our mojo again against Glengarry,” Lucas said.
“We’ve have been struggling to capitalise in attack. Refocus will be required to find the flow that has been missing for the last two weeks.
“The match-ups to watch will be Paxton Farley and Megan Barnes through the centre. Both are fast, agile players who never back away from a contest.”
The Magpies sit ninth on the North Gippsland A grade ladder with only two wins for the season.
Woodside, on the other hand, sit one spot above Glengarry in eighth and will be going for their fifth win of the season.
Gormandale v Rosedale
ROSEDALE will likely continue their winning streak this weekend when the Blues hit the road to play the Tigers at Gormandale.
The Tigers have won just one game for season 2018 and sit last on the ladder while the Blues sit first – 12 points in front of second-placed Churchill.
Gormandale head into the game following a 23-goal loss to Churchill while the Blues continue their fine form after a 19-goal win over Yarram.
Sale City v Churchill
IN a game that could go down to the line, Sale City will take on Churchill in a clash between fourth and second.
Both teams go into the game following round 12 wins. Churchill claimed the 23-goal win over Gormandale.
Sale City took the points on Saturday following a 20-goal win over Glengarry.
Yarram v Churchill
YARRAM could be in danger of falling outside the top five this weekend if Heyfield secures their fifth win of the season against the Demons.
The Demons sit fifth, only two points in front of sixth-placed Traralgon Tyers United and four in front of seventh-placed Heyfield.
