CRICKET
THOSE playing against the Trafalgar Cricket Club this season may notice a number of players wielding a certain brand of bat.
The Ships got their hands on the blades thanks to networking with a bat-maker with some ties to the club.
The bats have been handcrafted in Hertfordshire, England by Josh Gurney, brother of former Trafalgar coach Nick Gurney.
Carrying the label Morton and Carson, the sticks were recently ‘Shiped over’ so to speak.
With cricket played by so many people around the world, the acquisition of the bats is another great example of how cricket connects people across the globe.
