CANNABIS, gel blasters and home-made firearms were seized by police at a property in Yallourn North on Sunday, February 6.
A dispute involving residents of the property prompted a person involved to report the items to police, who then searched the property on Sunday.
A significant amount of cannabis was found at the property, along with gel blasters and
home-made firearms.
One person was arrested at the scene.
Gel blasters have been classified as imitation firearms in Victoria since September 30 last
year.
Hay bale fire in Morwell
AN allegedly deliberately lit hay bale fire has caused approximately $3000 of damage.
The fire was discovered opposite the Fortuna 60 Soccer Club ground at Crinigan Road,
Morwell at 9.20pm on Saturday, February 5 after police received multiple reports.
Police and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) attended the scene and extinguished the fire,
which had covered 30 hay bales.
The circumstances around the fire are currently being investigated.
It is believed an accelerant was used to start the blaze.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, including
witnesses and those with CCTV.
Man charged after incident at Coopers Creek
A MAN has been charged by Baw Baw Family Violence Investigation Unit after an alleged dispute at Coopers Creek campground on Australia Day. The 29-year-old Noble Park man allegedly armed himself with a machete during a dispute at the campground, located approximately 35km north of Moe.
He allegedly made threats to other campers before lighting a fire in the vicinity of the
campsites, driving his vehicle erratically and allegedly ramming another parked vehicle.
No one was injured during the incident.
He has been charged with false imprisonment, making threats to inflict serious injury, reckless conduct endangering a person, weapon offences, assault, criminal damage by fire, criminal damage and lighting a fire during a period of Fire Danger.
The man appeared at Latrobe Valley Magistrates Court on Friday, January 28.

Bonfire in Moe
POLICE observed a bonfire at a property in Moe on Friday, February 6 at 8.30pm.
The fire was approximately five metres in wide and five metres high, and contained
rubbish and tree branches.
Police and the CFA attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.
There was no damage to surrounding properties reported.
Police said this was a timely reminder to the community to be fire safe during summer
