HOCKEY
Latrobe Valley Hockey Association conducted their yearly roadshows on February 14-18.
With the help of Hockey Victoria coach Alan Sutherland the volunteers travelled to Hazelwood North, Narracan, Albert Street, Yallourn North and Traralgon South Primary schools to conduct introductory skills and games sessions for the children.
This program is run free of cost on behalf of Hockey Victoria and is responsible for the majority of the new junior sign-ups for the year.
The children played games and practiced skills like dribbling and tackling.
Children are now encouraged to come along to the Hookin2Hockey program that is being run on Thursday nights at the synthetic field in Churchill.
The program is open for all primary aged children. It begins at 5pm and the first session is free.
The first 20 children to sign up receive a free participant pack.
