SES operations manager Stuart Beales said the majority of incidents were in the Latrobe Valley, including trees over roads, on houses and wind damage to homes.
“Take care, particularly while driving on roads and if you’re camping, don’t camp under any trees,” Mr Beales said early this afternoon.
It is understood parts of the Latrobe Valley are without power.
Drivers should be aware some traffic lights are out.
