UMPIRES are sought for Cricket Latrobe Valley season 2026/27.
Latrobe Valley Umpires Association, in conjunction with Cricket Latrobe Valley, welcomes men and women who are interested in getting involved in local cricket and becoming part of the umpiring community.
Whether you’re new to umpiring or a returning umpire looking to get back involved in the game, the league would love to hear from you.
Umpires are paid for games they officiate, which can add up quite substantially over a season.
Full training is provided, and those new to the caper are generally placed in lower grades to get their confidence up.
Some of local crickets great characters are umpires. The likes of Tony Flynn have no shortage of stories.
