WITH the campaign to decide Victoria’s next government well and truly underway, One Gippsland has created a one-stop shop to help Gippslanders follow major commitments for hospitals, roads and housing and understand what they could mean for the region.
The One Gippsland 2026 Victorian Commitment Tracker brings together verified announcements from the major political parties and also highlights commitments against One Gippsland’s regional platform.
One Gippsland Chair Nathan Hersey said the resource would help residents follow the campaign with Gippsland’s needs in mind, giving them a clear view of how promises stack up against Gippsland’s priorities.
“Election announcements can come thick and fast. We want Gippslanders to be able to find the commitments that matter to our region in one place and understand what they could mean for their community,” Mr Hersey said.
“Our platform sets out what Gippsland needs. Comparing the commitments against it helps people see how the major parties are responding and where gaps remain.”
Gippslanders can explore commitments by party and policy area and see how they compare with One Gippsland’s election priorities.
Commitments from the major parties against One Gippsland’s priority projects already announced include:
- A new West Gippsland Hospital, and;
- Additional investment into the Wonthaggi Hospital redevelopment.
There has also been statewide policies and fundings from the major parties that span:
- Health;
- Education;
- Regional roads and bridges repair;
- Regional infrastructure, and;
- Energy.

“As we near election day, we encourage Gippslanders to check in regularly, see what has changed and consider how the commitments stack up for the region,” Mr Hersey said.
“These are decisions that affect the roads we use, the homes we can build, the services we rely on and the opportunities available in our communities.
“One Gippsland wishes all candidates putting their hands up to represent our fantastic region the very best for their campaign.
“We look forward to working with whoever takes office on continuing to make Gippsland the best region in Australia.”
