A series of fires broke out across the Latrobe Valley over the weekend, as hot and gusty conditions tested local fire crews on multiple fronts.
Two separate grass fires broke out yesterday afternoon, in Commercial Road, Morwell and Firmins Lane, Hazelwood North, with 10 and 15 appliances respectively required to bring the blazes under control.
On Saturday evening, 16 appliances responded to a small grass fire in Rosedale, which was brought under control around 8.15pm.
Meanwhile authorities responded to a small structure fire at Yallourn Power Station on Saturday evening, where nine appliances worked to bring a pulverised fuel fire under control.
