Police are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a fire at Lions Park Reserve, Yallourn North on Friday.
Between 4am and 5am a fire destroyed a barbecue and roof structure at the Reserve Street facility.
According to police, unknown people removed a mattress, which was left at a nearby charity bin and placed it on the barbecue.
It is believed the barbecue was then started and the mattress has ignited.
