With great sadness we announce the passing of Merle Veronica Melhuish on 1/1/26, Merle passed away peacefully, held in God’s grace.

Merle was a person of strong faith and was devoted to the Lord; she lived with kindness towards others and had a great love for her family. Her trust and faith in the Lord shaped her life and brought comfort to those around her.

A devoted mother to her four children: Phillip, Laurence, Caroline and Rhonda, her 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Merle is now at peace, reunited with her beloved husband Richard and welcomed into eternal rest.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me”. Psalm 23:4

A final farewell to Merle will be held 2.00 pm on Tuesday, 13 January in the chapel at Traralgon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for prayers or acts of kindness in Merle’s memory.

      Forever loved.

      Forever in God’s care.
