LATROBE City Council has moved to dispel speculation money had been redirected from projects to fund the Moe Activity Centre Plan review.
Chief executive Paul Buckley said council officers were conducting the review within their regular roles.
However, he conceded the process was tying up council resources.
“Certainly the indications from council are that they don’t want this to drag on… they want it to be a pretty quick process,” Mr Buckley said.
He said reviews were not unusual in new councils.
“With new governments, where often you will see a new council, particularly where a number of them are new members, they want to make sure they have all the information they need about what are significant local projects to ensure they are well informed when it comes to making a decision.”
