OVER the long Easter weekend, holidaymakers have been reminded to exercise extra caution while on the roads.
Victoria Police Division Five Traffic Advisor Senior Sergeant David Watson reminded people to manage their fatigue, be mindful of the speed limit and not to be distracted while driving.
“There will be a lot of people on the roads, either travelling through Latrobe or heading out,” Snr Sgt Watson said.
“A lot of police will be out enforcing road rules, with additional police on duty through the Transport Accident Commission’s Enhanced Enforcement Program.”
He reminded people to be patient especially when travelling behind other road users towing caravans or boats.
