Hundreds farewell fallen firefighter

HUNDREDS of family members and friends of the late Peter Cramer attended a funeral service held in Traralgon this afternoon.

In a statement to the media, family spokesperson Richard Teychenne said Mr Cramer left behind a legacy of fire knowledge with a new generation of firefighters.

“He died doing what he loved most: working on fires, working in the bush and most of all, helping others,” Mr Teychenne said.

Several dignitaries, including Victorian premier Ted Baillieu and deputy premier Peter Ryan attended the service.
