MORWELL resident Duncan Orr was killed in a motor vehicle accident near Christchurch in New Zealand at the weekend.
Mr Orr, a prominent local runner, was working with the New Zealand Army.
According to reports, he was found deceased at the scene on State Highway One near Rolleston when he was hit early on Saturday.
He had been walking along the highway when he was hit by a truck and trailer.
New Zealand Police is investigating the incident.
