AT least 20 new engineering and sales jobs will be created in Moe, following the merger of a local manufacturing business with a Melbourne-based company, according to Latrobe City Council.
Safetech has advised it will merge with the Materials Handling Division of Tieman, with the headquarters to be located at Moe.
Latrobe City acting mayor Sharon Gibson said council, in association with the State Government, had worked with Safetech management over a number of months to encourage the new company to be located in Moe rather than Melbourne or other parts of Australia.
