Candidate preselection for the Victorian Nationals is due to begin before Christmas.
State director Jenny Hammett said there had been few changes locally as part of the electoral boundaries review and as such Gippsland seats were likely to start preselection earlier than some other seats.
“State management is finalising the plans for across the state and it anticipates the first round of preselection will commence before Christmas,” Ms Hammett said.
“The initial concentration will be on the lower house and we will look at the regions early in the new year.”
