Latrobe City chief executive resigns

Latrobe City Council chief executive Paul Buckley has tendered his resignation after nine years in the lead role. 

  Mr Buckley, whose contract was due to expire in August 2014, has accepted a new position as chief executive of the Bass Coast Shire. 

“I am very proud of my achievements, and those of the organisation, over the past nine and a half years,” Mr Buckley said in a brief media statement.

Latrobe City mayor Councillor Sharon Gibson said council would begin the process of appointing an interim CEO to commence “as soon as possible”.
