A health assessment centre opened in Morwell on Friday following calls by the community.
The centre at Ambulance Victoria’s regional office, 2 Saskia Way, Morwell offers basic health tests like blood pressure, heart rate, temperature and respiratory checks.
It is staffed by nurses from Latrobe Regional Hospital and Latrobe Community Health Service.
According to the State Government, about 136 people have so far visited the centre, with four referred to hospital and others referred to general practitioners and pharmacists.
The centre is open from 8am to 8pm each day.
