After five years of design and months of construction work, Traralgon Cemetery’s new function room was officially opened on Sunday.
The new facilities, which also include larger office space, were unveiled by Member for Morwell Russell Northe to a crowd of about 60 people.
Traralgon Cemetery Trust manager Dennis Seymour described the turnout as “terrific”.
He said the facilities would allow people to have a funeral service and the following function at the same location.
“People have found it very convenient and the atmosphere respectful and calming,” Mr Seymour said.
The development was funded by the cemetery trust.
