The show’s back in town

This year’s Traralgon and District Agricultural Show has something for everyone.

An assortment of rides, displays, animals and entertainment are scheduled for the 128th annual event, kicking off at the Traralgon Showgrounds on Friday.

Traralgon and District Agricultural Society secretary Lorraine Anderson said the family-friendly, alcohol free carnival catered to all ages.

“It’s a great community event,” Ms Anderson said.

She said all the popular exhibits and rides would be back, along with a few fresh additions, including camel rides.

A country music event will be held on Friday night between 6pm and 8pm, along with the popular fireworks display between 9pm and 9.30pm.

Santa Claus will make a guest appearance about 8pm.

Saturday’s highlights include the camel rides and agriculture displays.

The Traralgon and District Agricultural Show will be held from Friday from 9am to 11pm and Saturday from 9am to 4pm at the Traralgon Showgrounds, Whittakers Road.

Entry is $10 for adults, $7 for children up to 17 years old and concession holders or $35 for a family.

Children aged four and under are free.
