A man remains in a serious condition following a collision on Scrubby Lane and Traralgon West Road on Friday.
Latrobe Highway Patrol Leading Senior Constable Matthew Pietzsch said the Major Collision Investigation Unit was investigating.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries while the passenger of the car was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with suspected head and chest injuries and fractures, a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
A Royal Melbourne Hospital spokeswoman said last night the man remained in hospital in a serious condition.
Bomb scare
Morwell Police Station and Latrobe Valley Law Courts were evacuated for more than three hours on Friday following the discovery of a suspicious package near a gas main.
Latrobe Inspector Peter Watson said police found a backpack in a nearby car park which they deemed to be suspicious.
“So we took the precaution to call the Bomb Response Unit and to cordon off the area just to make it safe,” Inspector Watson said.
“Then [with] some good work by our intelligence unit and our criminal investigation unit we were able to locate the person who had left the backpack behind.
“We were able to establish it was just an innocent mistake. They left it there to be picked up by somebody else … they thought it would be safe where it was given it was outside the police station.”
Police confirmed the package contained clothing items and nothing illegal or suspicious.
The area was declared safe just after noon shortly before court resumed.
