Man charged by detectives following alleged stabbing

A 32-year-old man has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury after he allegedly stabbed another man at Warragul on Friday afternoon.

Police allege the man of no fixed address stabbed the man following a short conversation.

Investigators said the 32-year-old left the property and was later arrested at an address on Darlimurla Avenue, Newborough.

The 36-year-old victim was taken to The Alfred hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Will appear at court at a later date.

Man to face court following McDonalds armed robbery

A 52-year-old Traralgon man has been charged after he allegedly robbed a fast-food outlet in Morwell on Sunday night.

Police said the man allegedly entered the McDonalds store on Princes Drive armed with a knife and threatened staff before making demands for cash about 9pm.

A staff member handed over cash, police said.

Detectives said the offender attempted to leave the store when he was arrested by police without incident.

The man has been charged with armed robbery and will face court in September.
