WET weather has resulted in a delay the scheduled demolition of Boiler House 2 at the former Hazelwood Power Station.

The demolition was set to take place today, but ENGIE said following the weather events of the last week and subsequent regional impacts, explosive controlled collapse demolition works at the Hazelwood Rehabilitation Project have now been delayed, while regional clean up works are undertaken by emergency services and government agencies.

The company added that information about the revised demolition program will be provided in the coming weeks.

Updates will be conveyed to the local community via local media and the Project website,  www.hazelwoodrehabilitation.com.au
