POLICE have charged a man following an incident in Moe on Saturday.
Police allege a small grey Toyota sedan pulled into a parking bay on Lloyd Street about 1.50pm when a man got out of the car and started pouring petrol on the roof.
The female driver of the car drove off with the two children and the man allegedly fled from
the area.
The female and children weren’t physically injured.
Police believe the man and woman are known to each other.
A Newborough man, 22, was arrested on Saturday night after he attended a police station.
Among the six charges laid by police are recklessly cause serious injury and common law
assault.
He will face the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court today.
Attempted burglary
A TRARALGON man was arrested following an attempted burglary of Horseland Traralgon on Thursday, November 4.
The man, 23, was located by police inside the business at 5.50am.
He attempted to flee the scene, but was arrested following a struggle with police.
Churchill fire
EMERGENCY services were called to White Parade, Churchill after a home caught fire on the night of Wednesday, November 3.
One adult and six children escaped the fire.
There was moderate damage to the roof of the three-storey brick veneer home.
Multiple Fire Rescue Victoria tankers, pumpers, aerial appliances and people attended
the scene.
Investigations continue into the cause of the fire.
Yallourn Power Station bomb hoax
YALLOURN Power Station received a hoax bomb threat on Saturday, October 30 at 9.15pm.
The call was one of a series of hoax calls made to various locations across the state around the same time.
The matter is still being investigated.

Stabbing in car park
A WOMAN, 18, was stabbed at the Mid Valley Shopping Centre car park at 2.30am on Wednesday, November 3.
The teenager was using the shopping centre’s wi-fi on her phone when she was approached by three females, who were known to her.
An alleged physical confrontation occurred between the 18-year-old woman and one of the three females, aged 19 years.
The two other females watched the incident from a distance.
During the scuffle, the 19-year-old produced a large kitchen knife, which was allegedly used to slash and stab the victim.
The three females ran from the scene in the direction of Bridle Road.
The 18-year-old woman attended Latrobe Regional Hospital following the incident, where she was spoken to by police, before being transferred to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
She has since been discharged.
The 19-year-old was processed by police and taken to LRH under police guard, as she was found to have stab wounds.
She has been processed and released pending further investigation.

Stabbing in garden
A WOMAN, 58, was allegedly stabbed at an address on Maryvale Crescent, Morwell at 2pm on Sunday, October 31.
The woman approached her neighbour, a 66-year-old woman weeding her garden, in an aggressive manner.
When the 66-year-old attempted to retreat inside her home, the 58-year-old followed her.
The 66-year-old allegedly used a weeding implement as her defence and inflicted puncture wounds on the 58-year-old.
Police said the 58-year-old was “highly uncooperative and abusive towards police and Ambulance Victoria (personnel)”.
The 58-year-old attended Latrobe Regional Hospital for treatment.
The 66-year-old was interviewed by police.
The incident is still being investigated by police, and intervention orders have been issued.
