A NEW era at St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School in Traralgon will be led by teacher Leonie Clark.
As St Paul’s welcomes the first Year 7 students that will be able to continue to Year 11 and 12 at the Valley’s campus, Ms Clark has been appointed the new Head of St Paul’s Traralgon Secondary School.
Ms Clark comes with a wealth of experience, having worked at a number of schools across
Australia, including Geelong Grammar School, Methodist Ladies’ College and Canberra Girls
Grammar School.
St Paul’s principal Cameron Herbert commended Ms Clark for her impressive skill set.
She is “an outstanding communicator who is extremely well-organised and efficient,” Mr
Herbert said.
“Leonie is a highly motivated, creative and passionate professional.”
Ms Clark has a long history at St Paul’s, first working at the Warragul campus in 2006 and
2007, before moving to Queensland.
She returned in 2016, and was appointed Head of Year 9 at the former Miller’s Factory Year 9 Centre in Warragul.
Last year she took in a parental-leave position as the Head of St Paul’s Warragul Secondary School.
Ms Clark is delighted to be taking on the new role, especially at such an exciting time in the
school’s history.
“St Paul’s is a school that, for me, when I walk through the door it feels like home. It feels like a really safe place, and a place that aligns beautifully with my values,” she said.
“St Paul’s is a very unique school, it is the best school that I have taught in.”
Ms Clark said she was inspired to apply for the role because she loved her former leadership position at Warragul so much.
“I really loved working with the staff and the students at that level. It was really exciting to lead a campus and to be motivating people,” she said.
The 2022 Year 7s will be the first Year 7s to go through to Year 11 and 12 at the Traralgon
Campus, and Ms Clark is elated to be part of the leadership team involved.
“I cannot wait to grow this community, to grow our staff,” she said.
Ms Clark is particularly excited about the schools new Futures Centre, which has just
started being constructed this year.
“It will have a performance space, a recording studio and collaborative learning spaces, a health and wellbeing centre and library and information hub,” she said.
