DETECTIVES have arrested a man following an alleged hit-and-run collision in Trafalgar at the weekend.

A 43-year-old Fumina South (north of Willow Grove) man self-presented at a police station last night. He is assisting police with their enquiries.

A passer-by located a man’s body on the side of Waterloo Road at about 10.30am on Sunday, July 28.

It is understood the man was struck by a truck sometime overnight on Saturday, or early on Sunday morning.

The 43-year-old man has since been released, pending further enquiries. Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
