ON Wednesday, a mass amount of rain came down throughout Latrobe Valley and the state coming in horizontal and followed by the storm classic; thunder and lightning.

At 8.20pm, there were reports of flooding in both Moe, Morwell, Traralgon and more surrounding towns throughout Facebook and on the Vic Emergency app.

The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) predicted a rain fall from 3-25 millimetres throughout the day with the possibility of a storm.

Latrobe was hit, line and centre.

While most were welcome to the cool change of temperature, some Facebook users reported receiving 20 millimetres of rain in a 15-minute time frame. Some people even reported losing power.

BoM and emergency services had put a severe weather warning in place throughout the day, and said to stay out of floodwaters, avoid driving in the wet and rainy conditions if you can and drive to conditions, staying well clear of trees.

More rain is expected to follow in the next few days on Saturday, November 30 with 5-25 millimetres of rain predicted.
