AN incident requiring emergency services near Traralgon forced Gippsland Line services to temporarily suspend on the morning of Wednesday, April 9.

Affected Gippsland Line services were:
– 7.06am and 8.10am Traralgon to Southern Cross services were cancelled;
– 9.22am, 10.27am, 11.27am, 12.27pm Traralgon to Southern Cross services instead started the service from Morwell;
– 6.05am, 8.26am, and 9.25am Southern Cross to Traralgon services terminated at Morwell. Passengers boarded replacement coaches at Morwell to complete their journey to Traralgon;
– 7.17am Southern Cross to Bairnsdale service was cancelled, and;
– 7.39am Flinders Street to Traralgon service terminated at Morwell. Passengers boarded replacement coaches at Morwell to complete their journey to Traralgon.

Normal services resumed shortly after midday, with the 1.27pm Traralgon to Southern Cross service, the 12.54pm Bairnsdale to Southern Cross service, and the 10.23am Southern Cross to Traralgon service the first back to normal.
