The Moe Soccer Club has kicked off its 60-year celebrations with new club rooms.
President Andrew Bednarski has been with the club for 10 years and said the new club rooms were “one of the most exciting” things he’s experienced during his tenure.
He also said he felt privileged to be involved with such a great club.
“The club has a great foothold in the community and over the years we’ve been quite successful with championships,” Bednarski said.
Bednarski also said the club prided itself on its junior programs.
“We really try and cater for the juniors and pride ourselves on looking after the kids,” Bednarski said.
“I think that’s part of our success and why we’ve been around for so long.”
On Saturday 9 June, the club is hosting a celebration at the Turfside Function Centre, starting at 6.30pm.
A team of the 2000s will be announced, and the club invites all past and present players to attend.
