Big task ahead for Magpies

TDCA

DAY two of the Traralgon and District Cricket Association Neilson Builders Cup fourth round will crystallise the contenders.

Glengarry faces the ominous task of hauling in 273 runs and it has been a long time since any TDCA club chased down 250 plus.

The Magpies need Sam, Frank and Ben Marks to get amongst the runs to be any chance.

Churchill captain John Keighran knows a win here will keep his side in a top two spot and in with a big chance to play finals.

CATS v Toongabbie

CATS is chasing 215 and will need a monumental performance to get home. Any run chase over 200 is difficult especially the second week of a match.

Imperials v Raiders

STILL needing 67 to make Raiders bat again this game is all but over for Imperials.

Raiders should take the necessary three wickets and record an easy outright win.

Rovers v Gormandale

ROVERS have nine wickets in hand and need 27 runs to make Gormandale bat again.

Rovers are capable of batting for a long time and if they can build a lead of 100 the Tigers will have to fight hard for an outright win.

Traralgon West v Centrals

TRARALGON West is out to cause a huge boilover in this game.

Reverted back to a one day fixture after soggy conditions saw play abandoned last week, much will rely on Jon Bell, Brenton Howe and Tim Fitch to score big runs, while Richard Halloran will need to strike early.
