THE Gippsland League and Alberton Football Netball League are set to join the AFL Gippsland Region Administration Centre, creating a central hub of operations in the region.

The leagues unanimously agreed to sign service agreements to join the GRAC for the next two seasons.

“Running the Gippsland League is only going to get more difficult over time and our board has identified that if we want to see the league reach its full potential it is time to change the way we manage the league,” Gippsland League chair Terry Flynn said.

“We look forward to the expertise and improvement the AFL Gippsland Commission can bring to manage our football and netball competition.”

Alberton Football Netball League chair John Schelling said the proximity of administrative expertise would benefit football and netball region wide.

“To have our operations managed out of a professional administration centre where knowledge and skill sharing will be encouraged is only going to benefit our league and other leagues in Gippsland,” Schelling said.
