Rosedale-Kilmany Cricket Club to reunite

The Rosedale-Kilmany Cricket Club is inviting all past players, committee members and their families to a reunion on Saturday, 11 February.

The reunion will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the amalgamation of the Rosedale and Kilmany cricket clubs.

Celebrations will kick off at 1pm when the club’s first grade side begins the first day of its round 13 clash with Collegians.

The reunion will celebrate significant milestones from the club’s history, including its 1979/80 under 16 premiership, Rosedale-Kilmany’s first following the amalgamation, and its first senior flag in 1981/82.

It will also commemorate the 30th anniversary of 1986/87 first grade premiership and the third in a hat-trick of flags.

The club will mark the anniversary with afternoon tea in the social rooms with those attending invited to stay following the conclusion of play to reminisce about its history.

Meals and refreshments will be available from the club’s kitchen.

The club is building a database of past player contacts and collecting memorabilia relating to the amalgamated club and its two forerunners and is seeking team photos, social photos, correspondence and newspaper articles relating to its history.
