THE Gippsland Football Netball League announced its fixture for the 2022 season last week.
After a challenging two years for local football and netball, the league will be hoping for an uninterrupted 18 rounds before they head into the finals.
The first round on Saturday, April 2 will see last season’s top side Leongatha host
Traralgon.
Morwell will make the trek east to play Bairnsdale, with Moe at home to Warragul.
Drouin plays Maffra and Wonthaggi Power will be at home against Sale.
The season will play two rounds before the Easter break on the weekend of April 16.
Anzac weekend in Round 3 features four matches on Saturday, April 23, with one on Sunday, April 25.
Traditional Latrobe Valley rivals Traralgon and Morwell will meet in a night match at Traralgon Recreation Reserve on the Saturday.
The Sunday clash will be between Warragul and Drouin.
Football fans will have no break in football through June with a split Round 9 starting on June 4 and finishing on June 11.
The finals series will begin with the qualifying final on August 27 and elimination final on August 28.
The weekend of September 3-4 will feature the two semi-final clashes before the preliminary final on September 10.
Grand final day in the Gippsland league will be on Saturday, September 17, the week before the AFL decider.
