FEMALE FOOTBALL GIPPSLAND

FEMALE Football Gippsland capped off its season with Grand Finals recently.
Deciders were played at Ted Summerton Reserve on Sunday, August 21.
Local teams took home premierships cups, with Moe/Newborough winning the senior
womens and Traralgon the youth girls.
Moe won the flag on their home ground, defeating Lindenow South 6.5 (41) to 2.2 (14).
Lynette Patten took out the best on ground medal.
The Maroons had a commanding premiership win, prevailing 12.17 (89) against BoisdaleBriagolong, who failed to score.
Ella Stoddart was the star for the winners, kicking four goals.
Others to play were Amber Schutte, Chelsea Sutton, Emily Scholtes, Monai Porykali and
Tylah Pratt.
The youth girls competition looks set to have a great future, as 14 teams took part this season, ranging from Phillip Island all the way to Woodside.
