LATROBE Valley Triathlon Club will start its 2014/2015 season at the Hazelwood Pondage on Sunday.
Following on from the Hazelwood Multi Sport Festival held in September, the race season will see athletes from across the region compete in a range of events from fun to sprint distance triathlons.
A highlight of the season will be the ‘little sparks’ junior races, designed for the four to 12 year-old group with distances varying depending on age.
The distances offer a feasible goal that also provide a feeling of accomplishment.
The Hazelwood Pondage features favourable swimming conditions and a challenging run leg for the more experienced athletes.
