BOISDALE Briagolong is poised to leave the North Gippsland Football Netball League after club members voted 89 per cent in favour of a move to East Gippsland last Friday.
The Bombers received special dispensation by AFL Victoria Country to pursue a move and were given the go ahead by the NGFNL.
The club will now formally apply for a change of leagues, pending AFL Victoria Country approval, but with the EGFNL open to the move it appears likely to succeed.
A switch would alleviate the need for byes in both leagues and eliminate a clash of Bomber branding with Traralgon Tyers United.
Boisdale will hope to emulate the success of Stratford in EGFNL following its move from the NGFNL.
The Swans won six flags this year including the senior football flag.
