YALLOURN Yallourn North utility/forward Tom Hutton took out the George Elder-Berwick medal on Monday night as Mid Gippsland best and fairest.

The Morwell premiership winner polled 24 votes to beat 2013 winner James Dowling (Yinnar) on 21, with Mirboo North’s Jack Robertson in third with 20 votes.

In the reserves Mirboo North’s Jimmy Grande polled 15 votes to take the Joe Redmond medal.

Last year’s winner Daniel Drowley was equal third with 13 votes.

The Cliff Greenwood award for club championship went to Yinnar while the Barry McKenzie Memorial award for best clubman went to Darren Kelly of Hill End.
