TWO-day cricket has arrived early this season for the Traralgon and District Cricket Association as some important clashes look to go down to the wire.
THE match of the day will see round one winners CATS travel to take on the reigning premiers Glengarry.
With a bye last week the Magpies could be a bit rusty and potentially an opportune time for CATS to cause an upset.
There is sure to be feeling as Glengarry’s home grown star Ben Julin faces off against his premiership teammates for the first time.
CATS look to have recruited well and hat-trick hero Stephen Morgan is sure to cause trouble.

BOTH losers in round one, this game between Churchill and Imperials is a must win at either camp.
Churchill, as it did last year, batted well last week but lacked penetration in the bowling.
The return of Ben Kearns is a huge boost for the Cobras.
Imperials has to get more runs from its top four to make progress this year.
Nat Campbell and Brad Sizeland are wily spinners and only need a fair total to bowl at.

TRARALGON West batted well last week, but its bowling could not finish the job.
Tim Fitch will need to bat for 60 overs-plus this week for the West to post a score of 200-plus.
Centrals started the year well, winning comfortably with a solid batting performance.
Steve Hazelman and Mark Rawson began the season in great form.

THIS could be the closest contest of the round at Toongabbie with the Rams keen to get a win on the board against Raiders.
Brad Lynch started his TDCA career in good form but needs more support from his top order teammates.
Raiders had an easy win and with Brad Knowles, Jason Macfarlane and Mick Higgins should have enough fire power to win this game.

THE Tigers will be keen to bat a long time in this game after their poor showing at the crease last week.
After scraping together a 102-run total the Tigers were lucky their bowlers were on fire.
Kent Hammond will need more support from the top order this game.
Rovers Captain Peter Ingwersen stood tall last week and showed his young side what it is all about.
He will need a lot more middle order support for his side to ruffle the Tigers.

This week sees the start of the GCL season.
In the seniors Traralgon travel to Lucknow to take on reigning premiers Bairnsdale.
The under 18s hit the road defending their title against Bairnsdale at Meerlieu, while the under 16s will play Sale Maffra at Nambrok.
