The Traralgon Pro Am Golf Championships is on again.
Teeing off on Thursday at 9am, the two-day tournament has a prize of $20,000 and provides a training ground for young professional golfers.
A spokesperson said many of the professional golfers who have played in the Traralgon Pro Am, go on to play on the European, Asian, or United States PGA tour circuits.
The championships will be held at Traralgon Golf Club, Princes Highway.

Explorer Paul Strzelecki will be the subject of Rosedale and District Historical Society’s meeting on Wednesday, 6 April.
Gippsland historian Barry Sykes will speak on interesting facts he discovered about Strzelecki while researching his book ‘Lines, Mines, People and Places’, published in 2012, which told the story of the settlement of south Gippsland and the Korumburra area.
Polish-born Strzelecki arrived in Australia in April 1839 and during his four years in Australia, with various expeditions, explored New South Wales, the Australian Alps, Gippsland and Tasmania, and climbed and named Australia’s highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko.
The meeting will be held at the society’s rooms in the 1913 Rosedale Shire Hall, 4-6 Lyons Street, Rosedale from 7.30pm.
The society’s rooms are open to the public on the second Sunday of each month from 1pm to 4pm for viewing the historical collection of photos and memorabilia.
