Police have charged a third and fourth person following the discovery of a body in a disused mine at Whroo, in the state’s north, last month.
On Friday, a 24-year-old Kyabram man was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and faced the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court and was bailed to reappear on 30 August.
On Thursday, 34 year-old Echuca man Mark Matthews was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and appeared at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court.
He was released on bail to appear at the same court for a committal mention on 30 August.
Mooroopna man Mark Missen’s body was found at the bottom of the Balaclava Hill mine in Whroo on 12 March.
During the Easter long weekend his son, Traralgon man Nathan Missen, 26, was charged with murder and remanded in custody.
Nathan Missen’s girlfriend, Ebonee Rohde, 30, of Tongala, was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and also remanded in custody.
Both appeared at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and did not apply for bail.
They will also appear at the same court on 30 August.
