Woman charged with following police raid

A 38-year-old St Albans woman has been charged after police allegedly located 201 cannabis plants at a Hazelwood North property on Sunday.

Police said an AusNet Services employee attended the address following a power supply outage on Saturday, 30 September.

Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives executed a search warrant on the property the following day and allegedly located the illegal plants.

The woman was charged with cultivating and trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis and theft of electricity.

She was remanded in custody until December where she will face the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court.
