Old Gippstown is set to be transformed into a Christmas town for this year’s Carols in the Park on December 13.
Talented singers will guide the community carols before Santa Claus arrives.
The free event will have a free sausage sizzle, games and competitions before the carols commence.
Old Gippstown marketing and events coordinator Teagan Brooks said the team has been working to put on a distinctively different event.
“Old Gippstown has such a special feeling to it especially with all of the history surrounding it,” she said.
Ms Brooks said that Old Gippstown is embracing the aesthetic of their unique location.
“We will have photos with Santa Claus with a traditional, rustic background where people can take their own photos for the first hour for a gold coin donation,” she said.
“After this we will have a professional photographer taking the photos, and pets are welcome for photos as well.”
Carols in the Park will also feature a Christmas tree decorating competition where community groups can enter a decorated tree to be judged on the night and visitors, will be able to take a ride on the old Dodge firetruck.
“There are also lots of games and competitions for children, before the singing starts and even in between the carols,” Ms Brooks said.
Gates will open at 5.30pm on December 13 for Carols in the Park, with events wrapping up around 9pm.
