Police investigate alleged altercation at Traralgon aged care facility

Traralgon police have charged a 27-year-old man following an alleged unprovoked attack in a Traralgon carpark on June 15.

Police are investigating an alleged altercation in which thirteen people were injured at a Traralgon aged care facility early Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to the facility on Matthews Crescent after reports of a man allegedly assaulting residents and staff at about 1.30am.

Police said they apprehended a 78-year-old Traralgon man who was taken to hospital for further assessment.

Two elderly residents were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while ten other residents and one staff member were treated at the scene.

Police said investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
