LOWANNA College will be hosting a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic this weekend.

The clinic will be open to students, their families, and staff on Friday, October 15, from 4pm to 6pm.

General public will be able to access the clinic on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17, from 9:30am – 4:30pm.

Lowanna’s principal Adam Hogan said they are pleased to be hosting the clinic and assisting in making the vaccine as accessible as possible.

“This is one of the many things the school is doing to keep its students, families and community safe,” he said.

The vaccines available at the clinic are Moderna and AstraZeneca.

Moderna will be available for anyone aged 12 to 59, and AstraZeneca for those aged 60 and above.

The pop-up clinic is being run by Latrobe Regional Hospital and the Department of Health.

Lowanna’s gymnasium will host the clinic, which can be accessed off Newark Ave.

No appointment is required.

The clinic is part of the Victorian government’s pop-up vaccination program, intended to make vaccines easier to access for areas that need them the most.
