The Department of Environment and Primary Industries has dropped animal cruelty charges against two senior workers of a former Trafalgar abattoir.
L.E. Giles Abattoir owner Colin Giles and quality assurance officer James Rodwell were due to face Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court today, but the department withdrew the matter.
“The department will not be pursuing further action in relation to this matter,” a department statement read.
