Peter Kostos has been elected as a councillor for Baw Baw Shire’s Mount Worth Ward after a countback of votes by the Victorian Electoral Commission on Monday.
The vacancy arose following the passing of the council’s longest-serving councillor, Bill Harrington in June.
Returning Officer, Phillip Robinson, declared the result after a countback of votes from October’s general election.
The Mount Worth Ward encompasses Trafalgar and Thorpdale.
